Tiago A.F. (also known as Mount Jam and soon to release works under the Nine Two alias) debuts in production duties via O Sótão Records with the upcoming 2 Years EP, set to be released in November 10, 2023.

Originally from Porto but based Lisbon, Tiago is a super promising producer that over the last 8 years has built an impressive collection of music yet to be unveiled. Everytime we sat with him we were amazed by the quantity and quality of the files he showed us and we couldn't miss the chance of curating his debut release that includes four tracks created between 2020 and 2022.

Hence the title of the EP. 2 Years. Because being an independent producer while working at the same time is not easy as you probably know. Especially if music is an escape for you - something light, to have fun, to let the mind free and feel grounded at the same time. And these four tracks are incredibly respectful of that spirit, of that feeling you get when you're grooving. Good news is that he intends to open up his vaults and release more tracks in various other genres, such as Dub Techno and Deep House, so this could very much be the beginning of something really cool from this talented guy.

Delving into his House, Disco and Deep House roots, 2 Years EP is also sonically connected to Tiago's proud inclinations for Jazz, Blues, Gospel or RnB. The elements flow into a sonic trademark that is original and, we believe, soon-to-be-recognisable. Mesmerizing vocal samples, percussion sections and chord progressions are all compacted into a mix of electronic and precise choices of instrumentation, providing a groovy, good-feeling and bouncy pace. Embracing club music origins, this record is spiritually connected to Jazz hats, Counter-bass chords and the soulful sentimental instincts of Gospel music.

After his demo tracks have gathered the attention of some moguls in the Portuguese club scene, resulting in the nomination by the renowned DJ Vibe as the rookie of the year in the country's electronic music panorama in 2021, this is a truly solid debut from this guy that just really loves and understands music at his core. We hope that this is not the last and that it doesn't take two years to release the next one. 2 Years EP will be available on Bandcamp from November 10. Welcome Tiago A.F.
